My most recent book, Just Enough Room for Christmas, is one of the rare books that can be submitted to both secular and Christian writers’ contests. So, I did. And so far:
2025 Speak Up Talk Radio, Winner of the Firebird Award
2025 Northern Lights Award, Winner Holiday Books
2025 Readers’ Favorite, Religious First Place
2025 SCWC Notable Book Award, Winner Picture Books
2025 American Bookfest winner, Children’s Religious
2026 Pencraft Spring Award, winner, Children’s Christian Book
2026 Finalist, Florida Authors and Publishers Association, President’s Award
And within both worlds, there are awards and AWARDS!! This last week I spent at the Blue Ridge Christian Writers Conference in NC with many of the Big Names in Christian publishing. I studied with people I have only read about in their publications, leadership roles, and awards. Whoosh!
Preparing for this, I knew I was a finalist, and the other finalists were great books by quality publishers, authors who were very famous. So, the awards night came - there could have been a Red Carpet for all the bling. I was instructed as a finalist to sit at the end of my row “just in case,” and I did
5 finalists, 3 prizes.
Just Enough Room for Christmas is in 2nd place, 2026 SELAH! There is a massive stage to walk over, but we don’t get to make comments. But a folder with a certificate!
So, by Friday morning, I think people will recognize me, but I seem as invisible as I was on Thursday. Finally, at lunch, I hand my card to someone who says, “Robin Currie! I know you!”
Yes, yes, humble, humble!
“You comment on my blog all the time!”
In fact, I do - I am a blog supporter for a lot of children’s writers. And in the long run, supporting others is the best award. (I may still frame my certificate…)
Robin Currie writes stories to read and read again!

This is wonderful, Robin! Congrats!
Congrats, Robin!! 🙌🥳
